Become the CEO’s operational partner
This is not a traditional PMO, project management or corporate strategy role.
We’re looking for an accomplished business operations leader to work closely with the CEO of a fast-moving global financial services business. Your mandate will be straightforward but highly influential: help the company operate more effectively, ensure important decisions turn into action and keep major priorities moving across teams, regions and functions.
Sitting at the centre of the organisation, you’ll connect strategy with execution. You’ll work across Business, Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance to remove bottlenecks, clarify ownership, improve operating discipline and give the CEO clear visibility over progress, risks and decisions.
The CEO will continue to set the strategic direction. You’ll take ownership of much of the company-wide coordination and operational follow-through needed to make it happen.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Translate CEO and executive priorities into clear plans, owners, milestones and measurable outcomes.
- Establish a practical governance framework for major company-wide initiatives.
- Create an effective operating rhythm across weekly reviews, monthly business reporting and quarterly planning.
- Identify cross-functional roadblocks, competing priorities and resource constraints before they affect delivery.
- Ensure executive decisions are communicated, implemented and tracked through to completion.
- Clarify decision rights, responsibilities and hand-offs where ownership is fragmented.
- Improve SOPs, workflows, governance structures and accountability across the business.
- Develop concise executive dashboards covering performance, delivery, risk, dependencies and emerging issues.
- Structure complex problems into clear options, trade-offs and practical recommendations.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to determine whether initiatives have delivered their intended commercial, operational or customer benefits.
- Balance commercial objectives with appropriate risk, regulatory and control considerations.
What success will look like
You’ll help create a business where priorities are clearer, decisions move faster and accountabilities don’t disappear between departments.
Major initiatives will have visible ownership and measurable outcomes. Operational friction and overdue actions will reduce. Executive meetings will become more decision-oriented, and senior leaders will have a clearer view of performance, risks, dependencies and resource requirements.
Most importantly, the CEO will have a trusted operational partner who can see across the entire company and make sure the business follows through.
What we’re looking for
You’re likely to bring approximately 8–12 years of experience across business operations, enterprise transformation, strategy execution or cross-functional leadership within a medium-to-large organisation.
You’ll also offer:
- Experience working directly with a CEO, executive committee or senior leadership group.
- A track record of leading complex initiatives across multiple functions.
- Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to make recommendations, not simply coordinate meetings.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
- Experience establishing operating rhythms, governance frameworks, SOPs and executive reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex information into concise, decision-ready insights.
- Excellent facilitation, negotiation and conflict-resolution capability.
- Fluent Mandarin and excellent English communication skills.
- The ability to work across regions, cultures and time zones.
- Experience within financial services, FinTech, payments, trading or another regulated sector would be valuable, but is not essential.
This role will suit someone who combines enterprise-level thinking with relentless operational follow-through. You can move comfortably between an executive discussion, a difficult cross-functional issue and the detail required to ensure actions are actually completed.
It is unlikely to suit someone whose experience has been primarily focused on PMO administration, project reporting, presentation-led consulting or strategy development without direct operational ownership.
Why join?
- Work directly with the CEO on company-wide priorities.
- Influence how a growing international business operates.
- Gain exposure across functions, markets and senior leadership.
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonus.
- Career development opportunities within a global organisation.
- Health and wellness benefits.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- Collaborative, cross-regional working environment.
